I will always associate St. Pattys with The Pup. To be honest, I'll always associate The Pup with Ireland in general. He was a little "surprise" leprechaun who appeared as a welcome-home present when I returned from a lengthy trip to Ireland, after attending an academic conference. Originally, his due date was March 10, so my doctor promised me that "you'll definitely have that baby by St. Patricks Day!" One of the only tiny outfits I bought him (instead of sensible onesies) was a little green striped romper, which I actually bought in a preemie size, knowing he'd probably only be a couple of days old when he wore it.
But, The Pup ended up being 3 weeks old for his first St. Patty's celebration. Luckily that little romper still fit! The Doc and I bundled him up and took him to eat lunch at The Irish Inn at Glen Echo, where we ate bangers and I drank my first post-baby Guinness. We sat on the patio, our tiny little brand-new family, and both The Doc and I grinned like idiots whenever someone came over to look at the baby.
How did we go from this...
to THIS?...What a difference a year makes!
The Pup's Look: Tee via Target. Onesie by little seed for Target. Pants by babyGAP. Shoes by babyGAP. Socks by Trumpette via Gilt.
He's my favorite grumpy little leprechaun. I think I'm going to need to take a picture of him grimacing every St. Patty's day...
My Look Here. (And yes, I'm totally wearing the same shirt as last year. SO didn't remember that until I saw the photos!)

Aaahhhh...I agree. I have three little ones who used to be very little and I have no idea where in the world those little babies went to! Too scary...your little guy is adorable!

Grumpy or not, he's the cutest little leprechaun!
